I often go to this bar for basketball games, because they have the NBA package and have great wings. However, a couple of buddies and I went there recently and ordered a couple of pitchers of beer, 3 to be exact. They were Sierra Nevada, so you'd expect about $15 for the pitcher. They were full of head and were $24 a pitcher on the bill...we thought it was a mistake! $24!? So $31 after tax and tip for just over 3 beers at a sports bar?! We were furious. I may go back, but certainly will not buy beer here....INSANE!

Well here are the Facts:
spoke to manger there named Jason and he said:
A pint of sierra at Bar Coastal is $6.50, so the 64oz pitcher would be the price of four pints minus $2, which is in line with al of their pitcher prices..
as for Tax, it is included in the price only tax for food items will have the tax printed separately on the check. so you didn't get charged for any tax on the beers. as for the head, you should have said something.
they usually have a pitcher special for either $10 or $12 Bucks too!
hope that helps!
P.s where the hell can you get a pitcher of sierra nevada for $15 bucks??? i'm going there too!

I poured the pitchers of beer. I was the bartender on duty. They were NOT full of head. They were properly poured. If the beer was foamy, it became that way from the pitcher to the glass, after we had delivered it. We have an excellent tap system at Bar Coastal. The beers are cold and the staff is good!
And I'm with "Fact Checker," where are you getting $15 Sierra pitchers in New York City? I'll go too!!

$24 is a lot for a pitcher of gold at a sports bar...this isn't a night club. Great wings though.

I agree. Not only that...but normally, when requesting a pitcher of beer that costs more than double the price of the norm, you would think the server would be courteous enough to mention that.
This was not the case.
